How many times can you rewrite the same chapter before you lose your mind?

I’m on version 14 of my literature review. Fourteen.

Every advisor meeting: “This is good, but restructure.”

I restructure. Then: “Better, but move paragraph 3 to chapter 2.”

I move it. Then: *“Actually, put it back. But shorter.”

Is this… normal? Or is my advisor a perfectionist?

Real question: when do you say “I’m done” even if it’s not perfect?

I can’t defend a dissertation I hate. But I also can’t spend another year on chapter one.

What’s your “fuck it, good enough” moment? Tell me I’m not alone. 🆘
