I can't recommend NVivo enough for qualitative data analysis. Being retired physics professor myself, I've guided many doctoral students with their dissertations and the consensus has been that NVivo is standout tool for managing and organizing data. It's really user-friendly and packed with features. You can code your data, create models, run queries all within very intuitive interface. It's particularly useful if you're dealing with large volumes of text, audiovisual or social media data. The best part?

Totally agree with the importance of mixing quantitative and qualitative research methods in dissertations. It really adds depth and richness to your findings. In my own thesis journey in computer science, combining these approaches has been crucial in advancing knowledge in AI. Have any of you experimented with blending different research methods in your dissertations? It would be great to hear about your experiences and how it impacted your research outcomes.
