In delving deeper into my thesis research on community health interventions, an unexpected discovery emerged while fine-tuning my experimental design. I found myself grappling with the intricacies of health outcomes measurement in the context of utilizing AI-powered tools for data analysis.

However, navigating the ethical considerations, ensuring equity in AI application, and maintaining the human-centric approach vital for community-focused research pose significant challenges.

How can we ensure that AI-powered analyses align with the values of inclusivity and social justice essential in Public Health interventions?

Your perspectives would be invaluable in shaping the direction of my thesis work. 🌱.

The equity piece is huge. AI tools trained on existing health data often just encode existing disparities because the data reflects systemic inequities. If your training data over-represents certain populations, your AI "solutions" won't work for everyone. Garbage in, garbage out with extra steps.
