From a library science perspective... As a doctoral student delving into information literacy and digital access, I'm currently grappling with the intricate world of APA dissertation editing. Balancing the nuances of ethical considerations with the financial aspects of editing services is proving quite challenging.

How do you navigate cost considerations without compromising the quality and integrity of your research? Any insights or recommendations in this realm would be greatly appreciated! 🤔.

The ethics of paying for editing when you're in information science is especially thorny – like, we're supposed to believe in open access and accessibility but then editing costs gatekeep quality??

My approach: I use Scribbr for the final proofread (reasonable cost, good quality) and then I trade editing with two other grad students in my cohort for the big-picture stuff. Free and builds community!!

Also, check if your university has a dissertation editing grant!! Mine offers $500 for exactly this!!
